Open Control Panel > Internet Options
Goto to the Connections tab
If you are a 1USA Dialup customer, you will see your 1USA Dialup connection in the white box. If you are not a 1USA Dialup customer, skip to the LAN Settings box.
Click on the Properties button.
The Automatically Detect Settings SHOULD have a checkmark.
The Use Automatic Configuration Script SHOULD NOT have a checkmark.
Proxy Section: Look to see if there's any software already setup as a Proxy. The Proxy should be empty.
If there is other software on the computer that has set itself up as a Proxy for the 1USA connection, you need to find out what it is.
WRITE DOWN on paper anything that is in the Address and the Port, then email this info to our Webmaster. It may be a good program, it may be the anti-virus software, it may be a bad program.
IGNORE the Dialup Settings section. Your connection is working.
Also check the LAN Settings. It too should have a Proxy Section that is blank.
If there is other software on the computer that has set itself up as a Proxy for the 1USA connection, you need to find out what it is.
WRITE DOWN on paper anything that is in the Address and the Port, then email this info to our Webmaster.
When finished checking these settings, please email back to our Webmaster with the results.
Both Proxy sections should be blank. We're hoping that both settings are blank.
