There are various anti-virus software publishers out there. Some brands are great, some brands are almost good, and some are even fake. Yes, there are viruses out there that pretend to be anti-virus software. ONLY download from reputable websites like www.1USA.Com (National ISP Service) or www.Download.com

Avast brand

All computers, especially connected to Verizon, need anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware software.

I do recommend the $49 version of AVG, but NOT the free version of AVG, which only does the first category.

Here is a link to Avast, which has been around a long time, and we use the Pro Server version as one of the FOUR anti-virus programs that scans the incoming emails here at 1USA.

It is recommended that you NOT install more than one anti-virus program at a time - because if it finds a virus, it usually locks-up the machine.

First download it - and put it on the Desktop or in a folder where it won't get lost on your hard drive.

Then install it.

Then go back to the website and Register with your name and your real email address,

they they will email you a Registration Key, which you copy and paste into the software,

and it's good for 13 months.

Install it right away, don't wait.
