 Software for Everyone Minimize
Anti-Virus software that's recommended by 1USA:

1.  For older computers or Dialup connections, 1USA recommends Avast anti-virus software.  We've tried AVG Free, Vipre, BitDefender and others here in the office, and BarryZ likes Avast the best.

2.  For newer Dual-Core computers and all computers that connect to the internet via a broadband connection 1USA recommends Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 software.
1USA Subscribers can get a Discount on the annual subscription.
  -  If one computer, $20 per year
  -  If three or more computers, $39.00 per year for all.
The normal price for TMIS is $49.95 and $69.95 -- so you can see that buying your license through 1USA will save you more than 50%.
Click here to install the TMIS 15-day Demo.  Let the Demo run for a week, then contact 1USA for a Registration Code.

and download the program into My Documents / _Downloads folder.
(If your computer doesn't yet have a _Downloads folder in the My Documents folder, click on File > New > Folder and create it.
Note that the leading character is an underscore -- which displays at the top of the alphabetical listing, and is easy to find when downloading various software from the internet.)
It will take a few minutes, it's a 63MB file.

2.  When completed, then goto Control Panel > Add-Remove Programs...
and remove McAfee Site Advisor
and remove the current Trend Micro anti-virus software
and reboot.

3. When the computer comes back online, Goto My Computer.  Maneuver to Drive C:, then Program Files, and delete the Trend Micro directory.

4.  On the Windows Desktop, Empty the Recycle Bin.

5.  Go into the My Documents / _Downloads folder and double-click to install the new TMIS - Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 software.
Click Run to begin the install, then Next, Next to install it.  Type in your email address on one of the installer screens.
On the page that displays the blank Registration Code... there is also a radio button to use the Demo for up to 30 days.
Click on the radio button for the Demo.  We want to make sure that the new software runs and retrieves updates correctly - at least for a few days.

6.  Delete the two TMIS installer icons that are on the desktop.  There should be two installer icons and one big round orange Shortcut icon.  You can let the Shortcut icon remain, but you should delete the installer icons so that you don't accidentally re-install the software later.

7.  In about a week, request a new Registration Number from BarryZ, webmaster@1usa.com
